WHAT IS A HACKATHON?

A hackathon is best described as an “invention marathon”. Anyone who has an interest in technology attends a hackathon to learn, build and share their creations over the course of a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You don’t have to be a programmer and you certainly don’t have to be majoring in Computer Science. (Major League Hacking definition)

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE ON A TEAM?

We strongly recommend teams of 3-5 people; if you don't have a team let us know.

DO I NEED A TEAM OR IDEA TO SIGN UP?

Teams must be formed prior to hackathon start and submitted to organizer via form by Saturday, January 12th at 5pm.

All projects must start from scratch and built during the time you are at the event. Ideas may be generated beforehand or during TAVhacks.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

All TAVtech Fellows, TAVtech alumni, Shenkar students and volunteers can participate.

HOW DOES JUDGING WORK?

Judging will be based on four criterion: Potential Impact, Quality of Idea, Design, and Function. An elaboration will be provided prior to the event to those who have signed up.

I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS. WHO SHOULD I CONTACT?
